3) Message boards : News : Project Update (Message 4316)

I'm glad to see project is live again. I started BOINC journey with this project but hadn't had much chance to contribute to this project.

I would focus on project and steady flow of WU and not worry about badges if I were you. For example Einstein and LHC don't have badges, yet, it doesn't stop user to crunch for those projects.

Hello,

I haven't seen any new Wus in months. Is it due to lack of interest from reaserchers or dificulties in creating new projects?
5) Message boards : Number crunching : Wrong home page address (Message 4213)

Hello,

It hasn't been resolved. It can be solved as Woodles suggested, but it would be nice to have it sorted once for good.

Just a quick update on my previous topic. I had some other projects recently, ending up with computational errors. I think it could be something to do with the hardware (memory or PSU perhaps) which I am looking for to upgrade soon.

If you think this was caused by something else, feel free to let me know.

Hello,

When I try to reach my account or message board by clicking 'My account' or 'Message board' in Boinc Manager on Linux, Firefox displays page address as below

For some reason / is missing.

Hi Brandon,

It is 64 bit with only 3GB of RAM at the moment.
10) Message boards : Number crunching : SIGSEGV: segmentation violation on Linux (Message 4190)
Posted 19 Oct 2018 by Hal Bregg
Hello,

I am new to MM and on one of my machines I had 49 interrupted projects with this error

Stderr output <core_client_version>7.12.0</core_client_version> <![CDATA[ <message> process got signal 11</message> <stderr_txt> SIGSEGV: segmentation violation </stderr_txt> ]]>

As far as I understand it has got something to do with accessing memory.
I was wondering if this has anything to do with clisp being not installed.

According to the log application version is "ACT-R cognitive modeling environment using Clozure Common Lisp (Linux Only) v2.35 (sse2)".

Many thanks

This thread is now a decade old. When will the project itself graduate from "BETA"?
