Hi All,

This morning we migrated our production system from it's home at the University of Dayton to it's new location at Wright State University. This allowed us to:

  • Completely decouple our development and production systems
  • Increase RAM, disk space, CPU cores, and I/O performance

If you experience any issues, please report them to the forums and we'll address them as soon as possible. However, I suspect a quick reset or detach/reattach of the project may fix a lot of problems, so give that a try first.

And as always, thanks for providing all of the invaluable resources to furthering cognitive modeling research. We've had an incredible couple of months, crunching 127,400+ days worth of computations, and it couldn't have been done without you!

Looking ahead, we should have a new web interface deployed soon and a new version of our CCL wrapper.

Cheers,
-Tom

Well that explains the MindModeling@beta_WSU tags I have been seeing on my work units, and why the project WUProp@home thinks it's another project due to the name change.

Thanks for the information as I was about to post about it.

Ah, yes. During some of the testing I temporarily had the project renamed to beta_WSU. But this was intended for testing only. The reason why it leaked out to volunteers was that the wrong config file was updated. From now on you should only see MindModeling@beta workunits. If the MindModeling@beta_WSU persists, you may want to update or reset the project to get the corrected Master file.

I think we've got everything in place now to support details of working memory in the next release. There's a lot to blog about with the current stimuli, but I need to do a final pass on text formatting and linking before I can post anything. I've also started writing code to access external data sources, so that resources that aren't available in our colab documents can still be used in cognitive modeling experiments and also get rushessay services to manage the task. With reasonably smart agents, this will allow them (very briefly) to examine websites, manuals and help files as they seek information.
