I am unable to finish even one wu on my HP laptop. It is running Windows Vista Ultimate on a Core2 Duo T7300 @ 2.00 GHz /w 2GB of memory. Any thoughts?

It looks like you have the same error as I have in Windows Vista 64-bit.
There are some problems running the executable.

Well, I enabled new tasks on my laptop and started downloaded the new app and tasks. Unfortunately, I got these results:
3/5/2008 12:18:05 PM|MindModeling@Beta|Finished download of mm_ACTR_3.00_windows_intelx86.exe
3/5/2008 12:18:05 PM|MindModeling@Beta|Started download of mm_watchdog.exe
3/5/2008 12:18:05 PM|MindModeling@Beta|[error] Checksum or signature error for mm_ACTR_3.00_windows_intelx86.exe
3/5/2008 12:19:42 PM|MindModeling@Beta|Finished download of mm_watchdog.exe
3/5/2008 12:19:42 PM|MindModeling@Beta|Started download of sbcl1.0.13-x86-windows.zip
3/5/2008 12:19:42 PM|MindModeling@Beta|[error] Checksum or signature error for mm_watchdog.exe

Looks like the app. didn\'t get signed correctly.

It looks like one of my mirrors aren\'t behaving for the windows version.
I removed it from the list.

Well, tried 3 more on the HP laptop running Vista Ultimate, all with compute errors.

Still at the drawing board with this one.

Your Vista box is geting comput errors because Steel Bank Common Lisp is dieing on your computer.

Steel Bank has a memory allocation issue on some Windows systems.

Take a look at a computer error returned result: here

The trace says lisp died.

Unfortunately this is the main problem people are facing. I do not have a good fix right now but to wait on the next version of SBCL.
Others threads dealing with this issue:
SBCL issue
Win64 issues

Figured as much. I\'ll just be patient for now and keep crunching on my XP / Server R2 boxes.

Thanks for the reply. I\'ll be monitoring for progress.
