With the global community working hard to cope with Coronavirus, our thoughts are with all of those affected. We are one global community, and all of us must do what we can to address the pandemic. If you don't already, I strongly encourage all of our volunteers to contribute to Folding@Home. They are now working on COVID-19 and need all the computing power they can get. See the link below for more information.

Thank you, and take care!
Josh Z.

Hello,
I was wondering if Rosetta@Home also contributes to finding cure for coronavirus. They seem to be more open with their research, but seemingly no one uses it as much as Folding@Home. Is it less effective or just less popular?

I can't speak to the quality or efficacy of either project's research, but you're correct that both are working on COVID-related jobs right now. I am personally just happy when people contribute to either one!

Rosetta is CPU only, which means a lot slower WU processing.
FAH has currently server issues, too many people trying to join.
That being said, neither Rosetta or FAH is going to stop the Corona virus, because by the time their data is analyzed, the virus has long passed.

IBM is currently the one businesses flock to, trying to find medicine.

Unfortunately IBM doesn't do distributed computing.

Carefully read the World Community Grid pages next time....
Two IBM-logos on this page alone.
It continues e.g. here.

I was referring to Covid
World community at the time didn't let the community in on COVID projects they're doing now.
