I have noticed that the credit values for completed tasks are falling fast. Where an hour used to get you nearly 20 points, your scraping the bottom of the barrel when you get less then 6 points per hour. Which also means each persons RAC levels are falling as mine are! A boost would be nice back to normalcy!

I'm sorry guys, I don't run my machines for 4 credits/thread/hour. 144 threads moving on till you can address this issue.

Hey Bryan,

Sorry you weren't getting the proper amount of credit. We attempted to fix the problem by adjusting one of the values that seemed to be way off for some users causing the credit to drop.

Would you be willing to attempt a job and see if it gives you an appropriate amount of credit?

If it doesn't we will continue to work towards a solution for you,

Thanks for supporting us,

Brandon

Of course I'm willing to try it again Brandon :) I'll move a machine back on it in a few minutes. 12 thread I7 3930 @ 4.2G. If all goes well I can bring the other machines back in a couple more days.

I'll let you know how it goes and give you the link to that machine.

Brandon, it is looking good!! The credits are now on par with other projects. I've looked at WU that have completion times from 30 seconds to 1 hour and the credits/time are the same.

I've also moved an identical machine back with native Linux so I'll let you know how that looks as well.

Thank you for your help!

It is always a pleasure to crunch projects where the admins care about their volunteers!

Awesome, thanks for update!

I'll do my best to keep an eye on the credit values and make sure they stay that way.

And thank you for supporting us, projects like ours are only possible with the support of generous volunteers who help us move science forward!

If you need anything else please let us know.

Happy Crunching,

Brandon

mine credits dropped 3-4 times too, could that parameter be related to not getting tasks?
I have say 1/3 or 1/4 of computers running MM along with other projects even having 10x times priority
either priority doesn't work or it work somehow wrong - those desktops are only for CPU tasks
it's pain really to have them idling for nothing
THE ONLY WAY DESKTOP GETS TASKS THEN I SUSPEND ALL OTHER PROJECTS.
this is not a way to produce good results, I have to give up project in this case - technically you just get occasional tasks done cause something broken in boinc program
talk to berkeley

Hey Reeltime,

I found that one of your values for credit generation was off for the lisp app, so it was adjusted.

Trying running another work unit and see if your credit gained is back to a normal level.

Thanks for supporting us and happy crunching,

Brandon

In future, would resetting the project have the same effect?
