Not sure if you all noticed, but the application already has a working screensaver.

Is there a meaning to the color changes in the picture? Part of the brain turns from brownish to turquoise and then back. Or is it just a random animation for the moment?

Yep, Mine does as well. Frontal Lobe perhaps ? Just a guess though. It would be nice to see the part of the Brain the Work Unit is working on. :)

But thats just off the top of my head. LoL ...

I must admit that the screen saver is one of the coolest graphics around.

A big congrats to Jack for his hard work.

Jack you done a fine job on the graphics. I would imagine you have more work to do to get it perfect but it is really cool.

John in Ireland.

The animations are not random but actually representative of the work being conducted on the volunteer\'s machine. Different models utilize different regions of the brain.

The graphics displayed is a 3-D brain model illuminating regions that correlate to Blood Oxygen Level Dependent (BOLD) function Magnetic Residence Imaging predications of recent model runs on the volunteer’s computer. ACT-R produces BOLD point predictions (Anderson J., et al 2003) and these predictions have been expanded to the a larger brain region for visual effect. Future versions will have the ability to visualize the predicted region more precisely.

Anderson, J. R., Qin, Y., Sohn, M-H., Stenger, V. A. & Carter, C. S. (2003) An information-processing model of the BOLD response in symbol manipulation tasks. Psychonomic Bul-letin & Review. 10, 241-261.

Screensaver 2; 191K image

Thought I would share some fun stuff about the visualization.

The Brain is a fullly interactive 3D OpenGL model. There are some fun things you can do if you bring the visualizations up in windowed mode.
1. Rotate and Zoom
--Grab the Brain with the left mouse button to move it around [x and y access]
--Grab the Brain with the right mouse button to move it in an out [z access]
[you can even go inside the brain]
2. Press F for fast mode (very CPU intensive for windows, runs fine on my Mac)
3. Press D for some debug info
4. Press S for a SETI@Home tribute

Enjoy

Very cool! Nice to have a screensaver with such a young project. This isn\'t the case for the folks who try to help out with young alpha and beta projects, but in order to get a wider audience a screensaver is a big mark in your favor!

Cryptocurrency wallets are how customers have interaction with their price range. Wallets are just like an account with a financial institution, however with very crucial differences. Like a financial institution account, they are able to obtain and ship price range and property that they've interior them. Unlike a financial institution account, in case you lose get admission to in your account, it's far long gone permanently, in conjunction with all of the property interior. There isn't anyt any crucial authority to move to, to regain get admission to in your wallet. While self-control of your price range may be liberating, it additionally comes with the expanded duty of right non-public key control.
