Thanks for getting back to me Tom. Unfortunately I am out of the country just now and have set no new tasks till I get back. It is a bit of a head scratcher... When I get back I will try and grab some more units and try to run direct as you suggest and see if I can nail it down to the app or a boinc wrapper issue.

just had one run and complete http://mindmodeling.org/result.php?resultid=14655879 and then everything started failing again.
I did add 7zip to my system but that did nothing.

Did try a reset, no joy. Checked that file exists in project folder and it does and is 1.4 M.

6) Message boards : Number crunching : High incidents of Stuck Jobs (Message 2709)

I seem to be getting this with the Lisp tasks out at the moment. Most seem to get to 4.761 % or 7.692 % then hang. If they make it past this they seem to run ok. Win 7 desktop and laptop affected equally.
