I see it's been a while since anyone said hello, so I will, again :) , be a ground breaker. Hi Everyone, I'm Donna, and I found this site because I put the word Bipolar into the search bar and going through the sites that came up, this one stood out for many reasons. Yes, I'm bipolar, and all for anything that studies the mind and how it works, and what causes issues such as ADHD and bipolar, along with things like schizophrenia and other mental/chemical psychosis. Although I want to see those mental issues caused by outside issues, such as PTSD, I really want more understanding of those that are chemical, with a pathology showing issues that are part of the brain, not added by outside issues. I have a combination, but honestly feel that if the chemical (in brain) issues were resolved, it would be easier to deal with those from outside sources. So, your model intrigued me, so here I am.

Hi Donna
Hello to you too, I too am bipolar, which is why I am running this project!
I joined a while back after scrolling through new BOINC projects and the project name caught my eye...I'm all for finding out how the brain works, especially since I have had a broken skull (vehicle accident - as a passenger) and a few subsequent changes in my brain function due to physical damage - exacerbating my bipolar situation. The brain does repair itself in interesting ways.... ;)[/img]

Hello

I am totally new to this whole project/thing/idea... Found it by accident and stumbled into here..

I am interested because I have PTSD (Vietnam 68/69)... Between medication and counselling it seems there is absolutely no escape except for a premature and self inflicted end

I live in a delightful little place in Central Victoria Australia.. I have a constant need to escape my surroundings so I have a motorhome.. An expensive and absolute necessity... I have met blokes who find a tent is more than enough.. I graduated from a tent LOL

Its great to be on board although I don't expect to ever see anything come out of this in my life time, its nice to be doing something so un-intrusive

Hi everyone, I'm Wayne and I'm here simply because the project sounded interesting and I wanted to help. Now if I can only get it to run reliably...first error messages and now it isn't getting any jobs. I'm sure I'll get this sorted out soon. Good to 'meet' you all.

Over Friday/Saturday night we had some disk issues, but those have been resolved. Also, our current tasks are Linux-only (a rare occurrence), and I noticed you are running a Windows box. We should have plenty of work for you to crunch in the future.
