A new MindModeling application has been deployed, and along with it a new batch of workunits! This will aid one of our cognitive researchers in Germany who has been working in the field of Robust Decision Making. Thanks to everyone who has contributed thus far. Please post to the Number Crunching forum if you need to report any issues.

We should have a new batch of WUs ready soon, but I cannot give you a definitive date since it all depends on when our scientists submit work. The next batch should be about the same size as the last two.

As far as the server status page is concerned, we are already aware of the issue and have added it to our queue of site updates. This has been brought up in another thread: https://www.mindmodeling.org/beta/forum_thread.php?id=532

Just got 2 of the new WUs. The first errrored out after 1,332.94 cpu secs. I have been watching the 2nd. So far, so good. However, it appears as tho it ignores the "Use at most xx% of CPU Time" preference. I have mine set at 60% to protect my laptop from burning up. So far, it has been using 100%. If that continues, I will need to set MM to No New Tasks.

Also, I recceived a WU on March 17th and imediately processed it. When will the credits be passed to BoincStats?

Followup: The 2nd WU has also cancelled due to computation error after 1,846.29 cpu secs.

Great to see new WUs but all the latest ones I've got have errored out. I notice everyone who has got these same WUs after/before me have errored out too. The batch before this one (several days ago) did complete successfully.

Also I'm guessing that MM isn't reporting to BOINCSTATS. They still show the totals from roughly a year ago for MM without showing any of the results of the WUs completed in the last couple of batches.

Thanks...

Thanks for raising this concern, ttoilleb. Although we have not yet tried replicating and troubleshooting this "CPU Time Preference" problem, I suspect the issue may be caused by the forking of a second application from within our main application. Although our main application is being managed within the user defined limits, it may be the second application that is not being bound by any constraints.

I will provide more information when I have debugged the problem further. Obviously, this is a large bug, and not something that can go on unaddressed. Thanks for providing the information!

The BOINCSTATS problem was brought up in another thread, see https://www.mindmodeling.org/beta/forum_thread.php?id=260&nowrap=true#1836. It has been resolved.
