Hello,

I have a goal to utilize the full horsepower of the Xeon PHI co-processors.
This development task is an excellent learning opportunity for the MIC architecture that sparks HPC interest. There are many options for performance gains. The simplest option is to recompile the code for x86_64_phi-pc-linux-gnu architecture and run BOINC on each individual co-processor. Alternatively, we could use the offloading API and add pragmas to the code. Any preference on how to proceed?

Hello,

Boinc has been successfully cross-compiled for k1om [MIC].
The binaries can be found on github:
https://github.com/mancoast/boinc/releases/tag/7.6_k1om

I would recommend CentOS 6.5 over CentOS 7 for the host.
Windows k1om operation depends upon successful bridged networking.
