Hello,

I have a BOINC wide team Trans-G-Power.

When this project started it did create my team here and it did create my account to some extent. However I could not lock in because there was no working way to get my account key.

When I tried today I got the answer that there is no account with my email address. It seems to me as if after the creation of the team the founder account got deleted.

I created my my account here manually and that worked. Then I could join my team but as a normal member not the founder. I already requested foundership but got no email at the address that should be attached to the team founder. (My address)

Could you please look into this and check what went wrong?
And could you also check if you can change foundership before the 60 days are over?


I also can not register my account here with BOINCstats and I\'m guessing it is related to the problem outlined above.

Totally the same thing happend to our teamfounder.

acc: baracutio
team: boinc-foren.de

bara is using the freemail-provider gmx.
Perhaps this can help you anywise.

I modified the from address on my messages. It appears many email servers where filtering messages.
Emails now come from NoReply@MindModeling.org (MindModeling Mailer)

Thanks for trying Jack but it did not help me at all.
I even put the mentioned email address in the white list of my GMX account.
There has and is no email turning up any where. Not in my spam folder, not suspected spam and not in any in box folder. To me it looks like that email gets not even generated and send.

My current situation:

I\'m logged in with the account I created (Holly-Marie)when the auto generated account (Holly-Marie [founder] - for the boinc wide team) was not accessable and my email was not on the datebase.
I can attach that (non-founder) account to a host and it is recognized in BOINCstats as a new user. It belongs to my team and appears in the stats of my team.
Sofar I did not try what happens if I log out. If I try to log into this account from another computer then my username/password is not recognized. The sending of the account key is not working.

If I look up my team (Trans-G-Power) here on the project page I find it has two members. The account I just described (and from which I write this post) is the only active acount with credits and the auto generate account (Holly-Marie [founder]) which is not active.

So it seems the auto generated account is some how still there, but somehow its email address went missing. This would also mean the account has no valid account key and the whole thing is in limbo. Still I\'m guessing the account key is still in the database. Since the account was the founder of the team Trans-G-Power the system can not purge it either.
My new account is not working right either. The account key is a kind of hash over the email address as far as I understand. Since both accounts got created with the same email address (which should not be possible in the first place if all went normal) they would create the same account key. However a key has to be unique so my new account gets another account key. This one is valid but does not fit the conventions 100%ly either. If you can please look up both accounts of \"Holly-Marie\" in the database and check all fields. My guess is you will find strange things in there that where caused by an error in your import script for the boinc wide teams and are now causing more probs.

I\'m now going to log out of this new account on this computer too.
Then try to have the project send me my account key and also try to log in with user/pw and in a 2nd try with the account key and see what happens.
If I can log in here again I will report the results here.
If you don\'t see another message from me within an hour you can asume I could not log into this account again either.

Hi again.

I could log out and can log in with either user/pw or account key.
Each time I get into this account but I have no way of accessing the founder account yet.

I just rewrote the mailer.
It seems to get through much better than before

I got the email with the account key instandly and now could log into my team founder account. I set my password and could now include MM in BOINCstats.
So far so go.

That leaves just the other prob:

There are two accounts for \"Holly-Marie\" which both have the same email address as their refference. (I know this would normaly be impossible but it happend.) If at all possible I would like to have the about 200 credits from the \"normal account\" transfered into this \"team founder account\" and then the normal account deleted. Otherwise I would not be surpriced if those two accounts will cause more porblems in the future. After all the email should be a unique key in the database but not is not. In most cases this may not be a prob since the database query will just return the first found account but this could be either depending on how the database is organized internally.

So would you please look into that as well.
