There are some know issues that are being worked out.
Please do not expect MM@Home to work perfectly on all systems or distribute credit ideally (yet). I am striving to fix these issues, though it will take a little time.

Thank you for your help and your patience.

No problem, Jack. We understand. Most of us have been through more than 1 starting Boinc project. More like a couple of dozen starting projects in fact :p

In this phase, we have to live with the bugs and you have to live with our complaints about the bugs, that\'s how most of them will be caught :-)

We are part of the \"ATA\" - Alpha-Testers Anonymous... So we know how to deal with bugs:

0. We search through the forum if the bug has already been reported
1. We report them in a nice voice
2. We try to reproduce the same bug in \"different\" ways to narrow down the source of the bug
3. We are very very happy about a responsive admin/dev!
4. When the dev says he has killed the bug we test that :-)

There are those of us who love beta and alpha stage projects because we always love to be on the cutting edge. I recgonize some names from other forums when those projects were beta as well.

Jack,
Is this project likely to change alpha/beta status or change its internet address in the next month or so?

Or what is the supply of work units likely to be?

I want to run this project as our Project of the Month for team Ireland.

John.

We will probably be in beta status for the next few months still.
The web address isn\'t going to change (even after we are out of beta status, the beta site will redirect to the main site).

The problem I'm having is that when I run boinc I have to tell it to not dowload new projects for mindmodeling. The projects are always having to run as high priority because the tasks are always due the next day and when I leave it going mindmodeling will just download new tasks that run at high priority too so my computer is running MM pretty much all the time. I have sat the work load to 0.1 today in hopes that my other project can have a chance to run as well. I don't know what else can really be done on my end but if the projects can be sat so that the deadline can be pushed back one day to allow other projects to run. I don't know, I'm just seeing a lot of MM and little to no work being done by other projects.

A reason why MM is the only project running maybe because it has a resource debit that needs to be paid back. Once this has been paid back your other projects will start to request work again.

See this thread, http://mindmodeling.org/forum_thread.php?id=596#2226, for additional information regarding MindModeling workunit deadlines. I think it will address some of your concerns.

Has MM finished with all the work the project needed. I have requested WU for what seems to be months now, however nothing ever comes back. It sems to be a dead project, which is too bad in that I enjoyed the project so much. With no work should I just quite the account? It is disappointed to request work day after day with nothing to show but disappointment
